Nate Hatch

Senior Graphics Consultant

Mr. Hatch is the Senior Graphics Consultant at expert•visuals, the courtroom graphics and presentation division of JRI. Working closely with his client attorneys, Mr. Hatch develops and implements the visual presentation strategy for each case, manages the budget, and supervises the project team—designers, animators, artists, and technicians—in the studio, in the war room, and in the courtroom.

Mr. Hatch began his career as a litigation paralegal at a large international law firm where he became thoroughly familiar with the use of graphics in the courtroom. Pursuing his passion for design, Mr. Hatch began creating graphics for the courtroom at a small San Francisco boutique where he worked for several years as a case manager.

Today, Mr. Hatch is well versed in a broad spectrum of media platforms, including graphic design, 2D and 3D animation, digital video, and interactive presentation platforms such as Flash. He works frequently in high-stakes “bet-the-company” trials involving large and far-flung trial teams, including attorneys, trial consultants and experts.

Since beginning his career in courtroom graphics, Mr. Hatch has supported trial teams in hundreds of different matters in a variety of practice areas, including employment, insurance coverage, intellectual property and professional liability. Mr. Hatch’s recent projects have included numerous technology tutorials, hearings and lengthy trials in state and federal courts in Arizona, California, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Texas and more. His clients have included attorneys at Bingham McCutchen, Heller Ehrman, Morrison & Foerster, Payne & Fears, Quinn Emanuel, and many other premier law firms throughout the nation.
